Gather & Grow logo mark: a circle of women gathered around a growing tree, beneath a rising sun

Gather & Grow started with a conversation between three women who, through very different work, kept running into the same thing: women who needed somewhere trustworthy to go for support, information and a moment to actually stop. Read the full story on our home page.

What began as informal meet-ups has grown into a professional-led community and a programme of in-person retreats, built around honest conversation, holistic wellbeing, and women supporting one another through whatever season they're in.

Meet the Founders

The women behind Gather & Grow

Gather & Grow was founded by three women who each bring a different kind of expertise to the table: trauma-informed care, nutrition, and nursing. Together they've built a space where women can access practical, evidence-based support across the areas so often overlooked, hormone health, nervous system regulation, and pelvic and gut wellbeing, delivered with warmth rather than clinical distance.

Jo Aramayo

Jo Aramayo

Trauma-Informed Social Worker, Sound Healer & Cacao Facilitator

Jo is a trauma-informed social worker with nearly twenty years' experience in fostering and children's services, a qualified sound healing practitioner, cacao ceremony facilitator and massage therapist.

Much of her work involves supporting foster carers to help children living with the effects of trauma, and it's there she noticed something that shapes everything she does now. Time and again, the carers themselves were presenting in fight, flight or freeze: exhausted, on high alert, running on empty while holding everything together for someone else.

Her work with Gather & Grow is built with this in mind, nervous system regulation through sound, ceremonial cacao and massage. She also runs Willow Wood, a thermal wellness and retreat space in Swanland, East Yorkshire, and leads retreats in Bali.

Her approach is grounded and practical, with an understanding that most women arrive needing time that's genuinely their own. Her ethos is simple: choose you.
